FLAX can mean LUCK. For example,
“Han hade verkligen flax igår när han vann på lotteriet” means “He was really lucky yesterday when he won the lottery”.
FLAX can also mean “to FLAP the wings” :
“Kolibrin flaxar med vingarna 80 gånger per sekund!” translates to “The hummingbird flaps its wings 80 times per second!”
Kolibri refers to a hummingbird, a species known for its rapid wingbeats.
Flaxar is the verb form of flax and is being used here to describe the specific action of the bird, which is the movement of flapping its wings.
