A bridge, not a dongle
Most ways of getting BMW data into ABRP rely on an OBD dongle or a paid data relay. Nexiter LIVE takes a different route: it talks directly to BMW CarData — BMW's own data service — using your personal accounts, and sends your state of charge on to ABRP as your car reports it, with bonus signals like charging status and tyre pressure when the car exposes them.
For location, you choose: out of the box ABRP keeps using your phone's GPS, or flip one switch in Settings and Nexiter LIVE streams the car's own position instead.
It runs as a background service tuned for Android, so once it's set up your live data keeps flowing even with the screen off — and it restarts itself after a phone reboot.
What it does
Your car reports a new state of charge each time the battery level changes by 1 % — around every minute and a half on the motorway, less often in town. Nexiter LIVE sends each update on as your car reports it; the gap between updates is BMW's cadence, not an app delay, and the same is true of any over-the-air source.

What is ABRP?
A Better Route Planner (ABRP), made by Iternio, is a route planner built for electric vehicles. Give it a destination and it plans the whole trip — where to charge, for how long, and with how much battery you'll arrive — using a model of your exact car, the elevation and speed along the route, and chargers matched to your plugs (ABRP Premium adds live traffic, weather forecasts and speed cameras). With live data from your car it no longer has to guess your starting point: your real state of charge feeds back into the plan as you drive, and ABRP replans if the trip turns out different from what it expected. That is what Nexiter LIVE gives it. A free ABRP account is all you need.
